Retinoic Acid is very closely related to Vitamin A, and is widely used in medicine to regulate cell growth. It is a slightly deeper peel than Beta peels, but has the added benefit of really boosting new tissue growth and is often used in conjunction with Beta Peels.
What to expect:
Retinol 0.3 Serum is a professional product which is applied by your therapist to enhance the effect of the Lamelle peels.
Applied post peel for a period of 8 hours, Retinol 0.3 Serum results in a deeper stimulation and speeds up cell turnover.
Who is SPIDER thermo-coagulation treatment intended for?
It is intended for all adults having telangiectasias, rosacea, erythema and ruby points.
To which parts of the body can this procedure be applied?
SPIDER is applicable to any part of the body with telangiectasias, even sensitive areas such as ankles, knees and face and also those areas where laser and sclerotherapy are not indicated or adequate.
How is SPIDER thermo-coagulation performed?
It is performed in the clinic. If the area is highly sensitive, it might be necessary to apply topical cream anesthetic, although the procedure is easy to tolerated. There are no skin incisions, cuts or bleeding. Little shots are made with a sterile, ultra-fine, disposable needle; the pulse drives the coagulation of the small blood vessel. The disappearance of the small vessels is immediately observed in many cases.
How long does SPIDER take?
Most procedures take about 10 to 15 minutes and they do not require any special post-care. In some cases, a single session is enough, but in many others 2 or more sessions are required, though usually no more than 4.
Is the treatment painful?
There is certain discomfort but it is minimal and results from the small shots injected with ultra-fine needles. Topical cream anesthetic may be applied on the skin.
What does after-treatment consist in?
Immediately after treatment, you may experience some itching, heat or minor discomfort in the treated area, which may last about 1 hour. Small papules (as small blisters) may be seen in the treated area, but they will disappear quickly. The patient may resume his/her normal activities immediately; no bandages, cream application or resting is required. A few days after the session, some small red points or little scabs may appear where the shots were performed, and vascular traces will be highlighted. This indicates that the blood vessel internally coagulated and the body will be in charge of removing the coagulated tissue. Scabs must not be scratched out; the body will reabsorb them within the following 3 to 6 weeks. If so desired, these temporary scars may be hidden by using make-up on them
Are there any adverse effects or complications?
If the technique was properly performed, SPIDER thermo-coagulation entails no risks or complications. The eligibility of the patient must be properly assessed by the professional, to determine whether this technology can be applied. After the session, some scabs may appear on the treated area, which must not be scratched to avoid an infection, not owing to the treatment but to scab removal.
Are results immediate?
YES. With SPIDER thermo-coagulation technology immediately upon the application of the treatment some small blood vessels disappear. Within the following days more improvements will be seen. In some cases more sessions be required.
Can “telangiectasias” reappear?
Thermo-coagulated telangiectasias definitely disappear and will not reappear. New ones may appear but not the treated ones.
Is the treatment expensive?
Normally, the cost of the treatment is lower than that of such technologies as laser or sclerotherapy. The cost will depend on the area to be treated, but it is an affordable treatment.
