Exilis® Elite Face

Exilis® Elite by BTL Aesthetics offers a revolutionary non-invasive procedure to tighten skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The Exilis® Elite treatment is safe for patients of all ages who are showing signs of ageing. The system uses a combination of monopolar radiofrequency (RF) energy and ultrasound to stimulate collagen remodelling, which in turn, tighten and contour the face. The triple-action of RF energy, ultrasound and skin cooling help to deliver controlled heating to target the skin’s deep tissues, addressing deeper wrinkles, sagging skin and jowls, and treating more delicate lines on the superficial skin layer. The Exilis® Elite was granted European CE Mark certification in 2011. It has also been approved by the U.S. FDA and cleared for the non-invasive treatment of dermatologic wrinkles and rhytids. The Exilis® Elite is based on breakthrough technology, safely and effectively delivers thermal energy below the skin’s surface, where collagen is naturally produced. In response to this RF energy, collagen production is promoted, leading to the skin’s rejuvenation and a decrease in drooping jowls, sagging skin, and uneven skin tone. Exilis is predictable and consistent in its results and delivers younger, more vibrant skin after just one non-invasive treatment.

The Exilis® Elite treatment requires no anaesthetic. The procedure is pain-free. During the process, you’ll feel only a slight warming sensation as the device is guided over the area being treated. The entire session will last about 20 minutes. Afterwards, your skin will appear slightly reddish for about 30 minutes or so.

Some individuals get good results after only a couple treatments, but for best results, most people need 4 to 6 treatment sessions, spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions are recommended every 6 to 8 months.

Side effects are generally minimal. You may notice some pinkness or redness to the skin immediately following the treatment, but this typically subsides within 15-30 minutes. The skin may be slightly tender to the touch for a little time afterwards, but this is not always the case. If you are experiencing any sensitivity, it can be treated with over the counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain-killer medication.
