Your relationship with your Obstetrician/Gynecology (Ob-Gan) is one of the most intimate professional relationships you may have. Although it can take time for this relationship to develop, you should feel comfortable with this person and should be able to trust your Obstetrician/Gynecologist with your most private concerns.

Women's Health Consultations Include:

Contraception- Birth control, also known as contraception and fertility control, is a method or device used to prevent pregnancy.

Pap Smear-  also called a Pap test, is a screening procedure for cervical cancer. It tests for the presence of precancerous or cancerous cells on the cervix. The cervix is the opening of the uterus. During the routine procedure, cells from your cervix are gently scraped away and then examined for abnormal growth.

Vaginitis-  is usually caused by a change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria, an infection or reduced estrogen levels after menopause.

Symptoms include an unusual vaginal discharge, itching or irritation, painful urination and pain during intercourse.
Treatment usually involves medication that focuses on the underlying cause.
Menopause: Let us help guide you through the physical, emotional, sexual, and lifestyle changes associated with menopause.
Menopause is the time in a woman's life when her period stops. It usually occurs naturally, most often after age 45. Menopause happens because the woman's ovaries stop producing the hormones estrogen and progesterone.
Talk to Dr Yanke about how to best manage menopause.

Chronic Pelvic Pain- Chronic pelvic pain is a complex condition that can have multiple causes, however, pain may be the result of several medical conditions. For example, a woman might have endometriosis and interstitial cystitis, both of which contribute to chronic pelvic pain.
