Exilis™ Elite for Body - Aesthetica Skin Centre

Exilis™ Elite for Body

Exilis® Elite is a non-invasive body contouring and skin tightening treatment that combines radiofrequency and ultrasound energy to improve skin firmness and tissue quality without surgery or downtime.

As we age, or following weight loss and pregnancy, collagen and elastin levels naturally decline. These proteins provide the structural support responsible for keeping the skin firm, resilient, and elastic. As their production slows, the skin may begin to lose firmness and develop areas of laxity.

Exilis® Elite works by delivering controlled thermal energy to the skin and underlying tissues. This carefully regulated heating process causes existing collagen fibres to contract while stimulating fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing new collagen and elastin. Over time, this natural remodelling process contributes to improved skin firmness, elasticity, and overall contour.

Unlike surgical procedures, Exilis® does not remove tissue or require recovery time. Instead, it works with the body's natural regenerative processes to gradually improve skin quality and support tissue tightening. Real-time temperature monitoring throughout the treatment ensures energy is delivered safely and consistently, allowing for comfortable and effective treatment.

What Can Exilis® Treat?

Exilis® Elite is commonly used to improve mild to moderate skin laxity and support body contouring in areas where the skin has lost firmness.

Popular treatment areas include the abdomen, flanks, thighs, upper arms, and areas affected by weight loss or age-related changes in skin elasticity.

The treatment is particularly suited to individuals looking for a non-surgical approach to improving skin firmness and contour.

Treatment Experience & Results

During treatment, patients experience a warming sensation as energy is delivered into the tissue. The procedure is generally well tolerated and is often compared to a hot stone massage.

Treatment times vary depending on the area being treated, typically ranging from 15 to 30 minutes per area. There is no downtime, and normal daily activities can usually be resumed immediately after treatment.

Results develop gradually as collagen remodelling occurs within the treated tissues. While some patients notice improvements within a few weeks, the most significant changes typically occur over the following months as new collagen is produced and existing collagen continues to remodel.

For optimal results, a course of treatments is generally recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Exilis is a new type of radiofrequency device that reduce unwanted pockets of body fat. It’s a non-invasive alternative procedure to surgical liposuction. Its results aren’t as dramatic as liposuction, but it’s a much safer and more comfortable procedure for people who want to rejuvenate, tighten skin and re-contour their bodies.
The procedure is stubborn fat cells and sagging or loose skin after weight loss.
The heat from the sound waves causes the dermis (the skin’s innermost layer) to contract. It also stimulates the formation of new collagen fibres. Collagen is a protein that helps keep skin taut and healthy. In addition, the heat generated by the Exilis technology—coupled with the vibrations of the device’s oscillating mechanical waves—liquefies and releases fat from the skin’s fat cells, thus shrinking and tightening up the treated area even more.
The device is now often used to treat and re-contour the back, arms, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, and ankles—just about anywhere you have loose skin and unwanted pockets of fat.
Almost anyone with loose skin or with mild to moderate deposits of fat is a good candidate for Exilis treatments. The procedure is safe for all skin types. The Exilis® Elite for Body is not recommended, however, for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is also not ideal for individuals with an active skin disease on the area intended for the treatment, or for people with a heart pacemaker or other implanted medical device.
Some individuals get good results after only a couple treatments, but for best results, most people need 4 to 6 treatment sessions, spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart.
Side effects are generally minimal. You may notice some pinkness or redness to the skin immediately following the treatment, but this typically subsides within 15-30 minutes. The treated area may be slightly tender to the touch for a little time afterwards, but this is not always the case.
