PDT Light Therapy is an increasingly utilised therapeutic procedure used by the professionals at Aesthetica Skin Centre. PDT Light Therapy is indeed used to treat precancerous cells, sun-damaged skin, and acne. It has reportedly also been used to treat other conditions, including inflammatory disorders and cutaneous infections. Moreover, PDT light therapy is a skin-rejuvenation system that uses original LED photobiology technology with a purity of 99% light. This light therapy targets skin tissue (dermis), increase the density of organised collagen fibres and the formation (regeneration) of new collagen. The PDT Light treatment has no thermal effect, no injury and no discomfort on the skin, which is impossible with other IPL treatments and Laser devices.
The blue light reduces inflammation in the sebaceous gland and eliminates P. acnes bacteria.
The combination of red and blue light (mixed light) improves microcirculation. As such, the increase of skin fibrocyte help to generate new collagen and elastin and reconstruct the dermal collagen fibre structure. This combination of light reduces fine lines and wrinkles, decreases pore size and effectively enhances skin elasticity and texture.
