Neostrata® Prosystem Peels - Aesthetica Skin Centre

Neostrata® Prosystem Peels

NeoStrata Professional Peels offer a progressive approach to skin renewal, combining glycolic acid exfoliation with targeted clarifying and brightening formulations. Designed to address concerns ranging from dullness and uneven texture to congestion, pigmentation and early signs of ageing, these treatments encourage controlled skin exfoliation for a smoother, clearer and more refined complexion.

At Aesthetica, we offer NeoStrata Glycolic Acid Peels in 35%, 50% and 70% concentrations, alongside the Clarifying and Brightening Peel options. Treatment selection is guided by individual skin needs, tolerance and desired outcomes.

What are NeoStrata Professional Peels?

NeoStrata® is recognised for its research and development of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), particularly glycolic acid, which is widely used in professional skin resurfacing.

Glycolic acid is a water-soluble AHA with a small molecular structure that allows it to penetrate the outer layers of the skin. It promotes exfoliation by reducing cohesion between accumulated surface skin cells, encouraging their controlled shedding and supporting epidermal renewal.

This process can improve rough texture, uneven tone and the appearance of fine lines. Research also suggests that appropriately administered glycolic acid treatments may influence processes associated with dermal remodelling, although these effects depend on the treatment protocol and depth of action.

NeoStrata's professional peeling system allows the intensity of exfoliation to be adjusted according to the skin's condition and treatment goals.

Our Professional Peeling Options

Glycolic Acid Peels — 35%, 50% & 70%

The NeoStrata Glycolic Acid Peels are available in three concentrations at Aesthetica, allowing treatment to be tailored according to skin tolerance, previous peeling experience and the concern being addressed.

The 35% Glycolic Peel may be selected for superficial renewal, dullness, uneven texture and early signs of ageing.

The 50% Glycolic Peel offers a higher acid concentration for appropriately prepared skin requiring a more intensive exfoliating treatment.

The 70% Glycolic Peel is the highest concentration within our available range and is reserved for carefully selected clients whose skin condition and treatment history support its use.

Importantly, peel concentration alone does not determine treatment depth or effectiveness. Formulation, pH, application time and individual skin response all influence the degree of exfoliation.

Clarifying Peel — 30% Mandelic & Citric Acid

The NeoStrata Clarifying Peel combines mandelic and citric acids and is developed for oily, congested and blemish-prone skin.

Mandelic acid promotes superficial exfoliation and may help improve follicular congestion, while citric acid contributes to skin renewal. Together, these acids are intended to improve the appearance of blemishes, excess oil and uneven texture.

This option may be particularly useful where congestion and acne-related imperfections are the primary concerns.

Brightening Peel — 30% Citric Acid

The NeoStrata Brightening Peel uses citric acid to target dullness, uneven skin tone and superficial discolouration.

Citric acid provides exfoliating and antioxidant properties, helping remove accumulated surface cells and promote a brighter, more uniform complexion.

This peel may be incorporated into treatment programmes addressing superficial pigmentation, uneven tone and signs of environmental skin damage.

Who are NeoStrata Peels For?

NeoStrata® Professional Peels may be recommended for individuals experiencing dullness, rough texture, superficial pigmentation, congestion, blemish-prone skin or early signs of photoageing.

The range allows treatment to be selected according to the primary concern rather than relying on a single peeling formulation for every skin condition.

At Aesthetica, treatment strength and formulation are selected following a skin assessment, with particular consideration given to sensitivity, barrier function, pigmentation risk and previous treatment history.

What to Expect

During treatment, the selected peel is applied according to a controlled professional protocol. Tingling, warmth or mild stinging may occur as the acids begin working.

Following treatment, temporary redness, tightness, dryness or flaking may develop. NeoStrata's professional peels are designed primarily for superficial exfoliation, although the degree of peeling and recovery varies depending on the formulation, application and individual skin response.

Some clients notice improved smoothness and brightness following a single treatment, while persistent concerns generally benefit from a planned course of treatments.

Appropriate homecare and daily broad-spectrum sun protection are essential throughout the treatment programme.

Frequently Asked Questions:

NeoStrata's professional peeling system offers several glycolic acid concentrations alongside targeted clarifying and brightening formulations. This allows treatment to be adapted to different concerns, from general skin refinement to congestion and uneven pigmentation.
Not necessarily. Although higher concentrations can produce more intensive exfoliation, effectiveness depends on the formulation, application time, skin preparation and individual tolerance. The most appropriate peel is the one that achieves the intended result without unnecessary irritation.
Yes. Glycolic acid peeling has been studied for improving superficial texture and visible signs of photoageing. With appropriate treatment, the skin may appear smoother and more refined, while deeper wrinkles generally require other treatment approaches.
Yes. The range offers different formulations for these concerns, allowing your practitioner to prioritise the most appropriate treatment or develop a progressive plan addressing both.
Not every client needs to progress through all three concentrations. Peel selection depends on your skin condition, previous treatment experience and tolerance. Some clients may achieve their desired results with lower concentrations without needing a stronger peel.
